Well, yesterday May 29th, John Massaro and I were talking about maybe doing some cooking in the back yard, and he had the great idea of going down to Chavez Market off 5th Avenue in Redwood City and getting started there. So, that is just what we did on Saturday May 30th. We made up a whole gang load of tacos, complete with Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Pollo tacos. We made sure everyone had the chance to pick their favorite. At Chavez market, we also tucked into about 20 jalapenos, John has this nifty jalapeno popper making tray, you set them all up after gutting them, and let them roast on the BBQ grill with some cheese inside. They were spicy, but great. Yes, there were all kinds of salsas, cilantro, cheeese, beers, guacamole, and some other goodies to go around. The best part was there was a record turnout, the first time ever we had 16 people over. All thanks to Mr. Massaro. Was a great time, went from about 2pm until 6:30 is, and then in a flash everyone was off to the BBC. Michaela and I walked our way there, and then hit up Borrone for a couple of desserts too.
